My Studio & Work
For me, creating art—no matter the medium—is a way of restoring harmony, and offering permanence in an often disordered & ephemeral world. I strive to create a delicate sense of beauty and balance in the forms I create, often printing textures and shapes on my surfaces from leaves or sticks or grasses I come across on my daily walks along a creek and in a forest right outside my door. That leaf, and even the plant itself, will one day be gone just as we will be. But its unique texture or shape will remain a part of my pottery, or multi-media work, long after it disappears.
